Clay Coated NewsBack (CCNB)

Clay Coated Newsback is made from recycled paper pulp and features the addition of a kaolin clay coating on the front side which creates a smooth printing surface. The backside features a natural kraft uncoated finish, which tends to be slightly rough in texture. CCNB's bleached front side keeps ink from settling in to the material, allowing for very precise,  very crisp lines and details when used in printing applications. In addition, the backside is a food-safe material making it ideal for packaging food.

Even in cases the end use prevents the used paperboard from being recycled you can still be assured that using recycled CCNB in the manufacturing process, as a protective barrier or in the packaging of the final product, you are still making a green choice over plastic sheeting or other carbon based products.
